28 May 2015 One-Day Workshop: IT Project and Data Governance using COBIT5
Written by Administrator
We have been hearing for years about the cost of failed IT projects and the mis-use of data during projects. When we examine these failures we can see that there has, almost without exception, been a lack of governance and accountability. The approaches used are often atomistic in nature which means no one is seeing the ‘big picture’.
This interactive workshop will introduce the concepts of both IT Project governance and that of Data governance using COBIT 5. We will explore the ways in which using COBIT 5 can assist in preventing project failure.
We will also look at the effect that big data is having on IT projects and how we can develop and introduce good governance practices in relation to data.

17-18 July 2015 Advanced Written Communication Workshop for Internal Auditors
Written by Administrator

Information Design: Information Structure™ in Audit and Risk Assessment Reports

We often hear from partners or directors of companies that auditors spend too much time writing reports and that the Head of Audit and senior managers spend too much time editing and polishing their team’s reports. Therefore the overall aim of the Workshop is to provide auditors and managers with a theoretical framework and a set of practical guidelines to:

 - cut down the amount of time auditors have to spend on reports
 - reduce the amount of time planning, organising, drafting and discussing reports and
 - reduce the amount of time in interviews and meetings

Yet still produce reports that are well received by all levels of readers!!
