Topic : The impact of economic downturns on business risk - A review of technology issues and possible solutions

The current downturn in the economic environment gives rise to an increase in risk levels across all businesses.  As costs are frozen or cut, pressure increases to do more with less both within the business and in the Audit Department.  We will examine the risks that this creates with specific reference to technology and examine at a high level the risks and rewards that continuous auditing and continuous monitoring processes and systems can bring.
