One of the key challenges Government agencies facing day to day is how to better manage the limited IT resources and expertise, while at the same time, improving the usage and service level. This session walks through the steps on setting their IT strategy and implementation plan to go in line with their agency mission, vision and business objectives. With clear and sound strategy and governance principles in the IT development and deployment, agencies will be able to implement IT projects in an effective and sustainable way.

Our speaker Mr. Michael Yung possesses 25 years of experience in Information Technology with focuses on complex application development, PKI, web technology, IT strategy and management. From year 2001 to 2008, Michael assumed the role of the Project Director of the Electronic Services Delivery project, the flagship project of the HKSAR Government's Digital 21 initiative. He has also developed many sophisticated IT systems for corporations in the region including Tradelink, Caltex, SingTel, Cathay Pacific, A.S. Watsons and Hongkong International Terminal
