Patients have a fundamental right to the privacy of their health records. A territory-wide Electronic Health Record Sharing system has been introduced in Hong Kong, which has created new challenges for medical practitioners in ensuring patients’data being correct and accessible only to authorized persons. How can data protection be built into the electronic health record sharing system? Are the protective measures adequate? A group of distinguished speakers will give their insights from their respective knowledge and experience.This Public Forum is also part of the 31st Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) meeting hosted by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Hong Kong.
