There is no doubt that software has revolutionized the way that business operates and allowed organizations to better communicate, react, learn and respond to the ever-changing world. But with such power comes the responsibility to manage software assets in order to mitigate the ever-growing risks that companies are exposed to from both a statutory and contractual perspective. With the Hong Kong Copyright (Amendment) Ordinance 2007 imposing certain responsibilities on directors and partners who are responsible for the internal management of their organisations coupled with the complex and constantly changing licensing terms and conditions governing the use of software, most organisations and their management are ill equipped to address the significant challenge of compliance and risk mitigation related to software.

Eimund is a Senior Manager with Enterprise Risk Services in Deloitte Hong Kong and has worked in the professional services industry for over 10 years, spending the majority of that time specifically providing Contract Risk and Compliance (CRC) in Australia, the U.S., Belgium and Greater China. He has delivered a variety of CRC engagements focused in the TMT sector including End Customer Software License Reviews, Software Asset Management audits, channel partner compliance programs, supply chain inspections, royalty reviews, customer targeting and analysis and delivered training seminars/workshops on software licensing and management for the Top 10 global software and hardware companies.

Hedy Ho has appointed in the role of Marketing Manager with the Business Software Alliance ("BSA") in 2009 and is responsible for the planning and promotion of the BSA's marketing and outreach activities as well as actively helping local enterprises to establish safe and legal software practices.
