In October 2006, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) launched the Information Security Enhancement Campaign ("ISEC") jointly with the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (HK Chapter), Internet Professional Association and Hong Kong Institute of Engineers appealing to IT practitioners to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. The PCPD organized a public seminar on "Protecting Personal Data in the Electronic Media" in March 2007 to raise privacy awareness among IT professionals. Cyber Ethics for Students and Youth |

The Hong Kong Police, Education and Manpower Bureau, Television and Entertainment Licencing Authority jointly organized a promotion program with an objective to boost cyber ethic among the younger generation and to protect them from potential threats to the use of the Internet. The organizers also invited ISACA (Hong Kong Chapter) to participate in this important event. As part of the promotion - a fun fair programme was held at the Police Officer Club on 15 August, 2003. Our Chapter specially designed a “PAIR” PC game and attracted many young enthusiasts. Some of them managed to beat the game and walked away happily with an ISACA baseball cap. |

As part of the Hong Kong Government's Policy Objectives in sustaining a level playing field in Hong Kong, the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) has been delegated to launch a series of business ethics programmes by encouraging and assisting public listed and major companies as well as trade and professional associations to adopt ethical practices. |
