Topic: How to Prepare to Speak Unprepared (Conducted in English)

You step into the room, grab a seat in the corner, comfortably sit yourself down and scan around the room for acquaintance in the audience. As the speaker finishes the last powerpoint slide, he looks at you and smile. You smile back. The speaker walks down the stage, slowly approaching you and says, "Oh, in the audience I see a subject expert, how fortunate we are today. Can you come up on stage to say a few words?"Are you prepared to speak in any situation, even one that you are unprepared?

Our speaker, Mr. Sean Lin, is an information security professional, a negotiator by profession, and a seasoned public speaker. He will share with you his three tips to conquer the stage, whether you are prepared or unprepared. You never know when will be the next occasion that the above scenario will apply to you. Better get prepared to speak unprepared!

Mr. William Gee is a Partner in the Risk and Controls Solutions Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers China and specialises in the field of risk management after being qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK in 1990. He has over 19 years experience in providing risk management assurance and advisory services to clients operating in a variety of industry sectors, including energy and mining, telecommunication, banking and finance, retail, manufacturing, transportation and the public sector. He has also led numerous engagements assisting clients in assessing their business risks and in the design and review of business processes and controls.

Since 2003, William has been supporting clients in undertaking readiness projects to comply with the requirements under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). He is fully conversant with internal control and corporate governance standards and regulations. Besides, he holds a UK Practicing Certificate and is a Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong. Not only being a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA®), but he is also the current Vice-President and Volunteer Coordinator (China) of the ISACA China Hong Kong Chapter
