ISACA is proud to announce that the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has awarded accreditation under ISO/IEC 17024 to ISACA’s CISA and CISM certification programs.

ISO/IEC 17024 specifies requirements for a body certifying persons against specific requirements, including the development and maintenance of a certification scheme for personnel.

The standard describes appropriate conditions for application, examinations, surveillance and recertification. It also specifies the requirements for independence of training from certification, confidentiality of information, competence of staff and subcontractors, and the need for stakeholder input into certification schemes.

Accreditation by ANSI signifies that ISACA’s procedures meet ANSI’s essential requirements for openness, balance, consensus and due process.
