Topic HKCS x ISACA Seminar: Beyond Compliance – Opportunities ahead with the new Critical Infrastructure Protection Bill
Synopsis Organised by the Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) China Hong Kong Chapter, and City University of Hong Kong. It aims to explore the exciting opportunities that lie ahead for Hong Kong following the passage of the Protection of Critical Infrastructure (Computer Systems) Bill by the Legislative Council on 19 March 2025.

This landmark legislation is designed to enhance cybersecurity and minimize disruptions caused by cybersecurity incidents to Hong Kong’s critical and essential services. While the industry and regulators are now focusing on further defining the Code of Practice, this seminar provides a unique platform to delve into the broader implications and opportunities that arise from this new bill.

Our distinguished guests will offer strategic insights on the importance of cybersecurity and its role in ensuring Hong Kong remains a competitive international financial hub. Additionally, participants will receive the latest updates on the bill, the establishment of the Commissioner Office, and the Code of Practice. The seminar will feature a series of thought-provoking panel discussions with VIP panel members from various industries, including cybersecurity specialists, regulators, and consultants.
